Body Of Faith

Our Youth ministry is designed to involve and engage our youth with teaching and activities to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.  We participate in many activities throughout the year concerned with nurturing spiritual growth and offering activities that cultivate a desire to discover and develop a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.   We are committed to helping our youth experience the transformational love of God through prayer, relationships, and action.

“Why is it so important for youth to attend church?”

Most adults often describe their years as a teenager in middle school and high school as an interesting one that presented many temptations, and the person they were differs heavily from the person they are currently. Those short years are critical in a student’s life, as it’s a highly emotional and explorative one. There is a lot that occurs for youth. Balancing academics, friend and relationship affairs, tensions with parents, the social media age, the struggle for independence, and other factors that try to rule a youth’s life. This is why attending church is important for youth. They need to be in an environment in which the primary focus is following God’s will, which will ultimately lead to the love, acceptance, and comfort so many youths are longing for. They need to hear messages that are finally honest with them and to be surrounded by individuals who will love and pray over them when they decide to make a change in their life. The youth leaders and other youth are especially critical because they will hold accountability for the students and let them know that they are not alone in their struggle. In this era, where youth are the primary targets for many worldly temptations, attending church provides them with a shield to face each week, knowledge on how to love others more than they did the previous day, and an understanding that they have victory no matter the circumstance because Jesus is in their heart.

1 Timothy 4:12

Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
